We're Back!!!

Hello again and welcome to this space after such a long absence. The Semester has been zipping along at mach speed or so it would seem since we are about half way through, and near the end of the year 2012. For those of you asking when the blog will get started, I promise to keep it informative and provocative. As always we welcome your comments and concerns on everything under the sun. This is your blog -- a chance to speak candidly about what lights up your imagination. Don't be coy or cavalier about life, dive in and get your hands dirty and feet wet. Today I want to look at Voting and You. With elections heating up here in Barbados and in the United States, we can get a chance to see first hand at how the election machinery works. There are lot of would be first time voters in our midst. I want you to pause and reflect on the journey that has lead to this moment where you at 18 years of age can cast your vote and by so doing elect a government that is representative of the people. I also want you to contemplate that a vote is a right and responsibility and ultimately, if you do or do not vote, whichever party assumes office at the end of the process, that is the one you helped to elect. Till next time, Study it!!!
